It's so lovely to finally see the sun and feel warmth on my skin again. While it rained today, I refuse to put on a sweater! Long live bare skin!!
I've been working on a fun shawl KAL for the Yarnathon. The Half Moon Shawl was a quick and easy crochet project and turned out beautifully using Three Irish Girls' Springvale DK in Luaua and Mimosa. You can see below how gorgeous the colors are. Both skeins were pretty much used up, with less than 20 yards left for each colorway. I'm not much of a crocheter, but this is really a simple pattern, great for TV-watching. Bonus fun: I tried a new join that basically equals NO weaving ends in - SO WORTH IT.
As for the blocking, I could have been a little more aggressive and ended up with much pointy-er points, but I really like the end results and have gotten SO many compliments on this shawl!
